Sight Description

Großglockner is Austria's highest mountain at 3,798 metres and at the same time forms the state border between Salzburg, East Tirol and Kaernten.The mighty peak is a popular visitor destination and forms a great part of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Since 1935 around 50 million people have travelled along the Grossglockner high alpine road, the most famous alpine road in Austria.
